And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. – Romans 5:5
For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease. – Job 14:7
Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life. – Proverbs 13:12
For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion. – Eccl 9:4
HOPE is a rope…
Maybe a bridge that helps you cope
Hope is the thread you hold onto
Whilst expecting answers on which way to go
Hope, like a heartbeat, says “don’t give in!
It might not happen today, but you will win!”
It is a decision to stand in the midst of a trial
And say “come what may, I will not retire.”
One thing you are told not to loose
Even when it gets down to having to choose.
Hope feels like an assurance
That a promise given has insurance.
Let’s hold on to what we have been told
When you have hope, you are worth more than gold.

Absolutely loved your words, Frances. As usual… you got me right here: “It is a decision to stand in the midst of a trial, And say “come what may, I will not retire.” One thing you are told not to loose
Even when it gets down to having to choose.”
All we can have in this crazy world we live in is hope! Hugs to you and the family. ❤
