Photo Rehab #13 – Beauty

I love beauty…whether it’s the way food is displayed or the eyes made up (I’m good at this one) wink or the little pieces you add to a dress to make it different, I just love the aesthetic abilities some people are gifted with and the manner with which they maximize it.

So, I went on a trip and as we stepped into the lobby of the hotel, I met this amazing light and decorative item on the side table. I hope they give you pleasure like they did me! And off to the #PhotoRehab Clinic I go!

Photo Rehab #10 – Up Close & Bangles

Up Close & Bangles! My sister has these wide range of really lovely Indian bangles that she sells and they come in beautiful vibrant colors. Pleasing to the eyes and a treasure to have. I took shots of some for my last week’s Photo challenge. What do you think about my Close Up?

By the way, I’m taking it to the #PhotoRehab Clinic, it could do with some of these colors!

Photo Rehab #9 – Victory over Solitude

Last week I did a Makeover Cover for PhotoRehabMakeoverCover and because I love the pix, I am using it for my fellow patients at Lucile’s Photo Rehab Clinic. You might need to go there to get healed of withdrawal syndrome or you just need some color to brighten up your life.

SolitudeIn the mean while, you may feel down or alone, but like this white flower in the midst of so many green and dark green leaves, you can rise, having victory over SOLITUDE!

The Invention of Solitude

Okay, It’s #PhotoRehabCoverMakeover 4 and I used an old picture I took to create my cover.

Why this picture? Well since you asked (like my pastor would say), the original picture shows a sea of green leaves and in the midst of it, is a lovely white flower juts out. As if to say…

” I refuse to conform, though I rise alone, still I rise!”

For me that could be lonely and as such, it represents solitude. All I did was give it a dark tone and it somewhat brought out the white (in some unique way). I hope you love the cover 🙂

The Summer of Chasing Mermaids

The Summer of Chasing Mermaids_2We took this picture (the bottom part) last year at the beach and the cloud picture (above) I took last week, whilst waiting to get gas at the petrol station.

I blended the two and in an attempt to give it a surreal effect used the negative of the beach picture and the Lomo effect for the cloud.

So what do you think? #PhotoRehabCoverMakeover 3

Photo Rehab #8 – Symbol

My Symbol

To some, it is two fine brown woods
With a color that might not change moods
Strung together at the centre
If it were a door, one would enter!
Made from polished dead tree
How can this set free?

To another, it represents death
A place one gave His last breath
A sign that says, “forgiven,
You are the reason I’m risen!”
To me, it is connection – network
Where Divinity and man rework.

A Connection
