#FreedomFriday: TE15 – Expectations

EXPECTATION: The act or state of looking forward in anticipation.

If you do a random sampling, you will likely find out that over the years, people just go to The Experience because there will be a plethora of unique gospel artistes at the same time on one stage and it’s a FOC (free of charge) concert.

Well…
Have we started charging gate fee at The Experience? No!
Has the quality of Gospel Ministers reduced? No way!
Have the hours assigned to Praise, Pray and Worship been slashed? No!
Has the Presence of God become commonplace and of no effect? No!

But…

As the countdown goes on, my charge to you today is to be EXPECTANT! Do not show up as in times past, having no desire except to dance, be happy, sing and go!

Have you not heard of the miracles tied to The Experience? Of salvation, healing, restoration, finding life’s path and partners, blessing of the fruit of the womb? What is it that you desire? Remember WHOSE presence it is that we will stand before and ask yourself, “If I was given an audience with the President, to make any request and it will be granted, what will it be?”

Fortunately, the One before Whom you will stand (come 4th/5th December 2015), is MORE than all the Presidents of the world put together. His WORD created the Heavens and the Earth, that Word is still very powerful today.  What will your EXPECTATION be? Even the man at the gate called Beautiful looked up with expectation to receive something from Peter and John and he got MORE! Acts 3:1-5;  plan to receive from God too.

In His Presence is fullness of JOY, if by the end of this years’ Experience you do not get Fullness of Joy, then you have yourself to blame. Get your Expectation in place and let’s meet at TBS. I’ll look out for you…physically or spiritually…while you are at it, don’t forget your dancing shoes!

Weekly Small Pleasures

My #Weekly Small Pleasures for the past week was rooted in family and some sweet loving time worshipping God.

For one, my Mummy was around and boy I missed an opportunity to snap pictures with her. We went together for The Experience 9th Edition and my Heritage came too. Yes, there were a lot of “mummy, I want this or that…carry me…I want Daddy…he’s singing, I want to meet him on stage and etc”. But it was fun all the same.

Though I didn’t take pictures with Mummy, I did take some with my sister, my friend Otibhor (before the programme) while others danced on and tried filming a part of the Experience Concert, which I couldn’t upload here.

Like Mani, I caught the sneezing bug but I’m better now. Yep, we got to rest for a few days after the concert though it was a working break, I enjoyed it!

Are U Ready?!!!

Yes, It’s less than 20 hours and counting down to The Experience of a lifetime #1G1V and you have no reason to be absent from the whole gbedu (as a typical Yoruba person would say) but for me, it will be a mix of Gbedu, Unek, Ikwo, Ekom ye Itoro to Abasi mmi. Andikara Eyong ye Isong ye kpukpuru si dude ke esid.

Ooops I forgot myself there…but then I’m sure the Holy One would give you interpretation if you ask. Its happening live at the Tafawa Balewa Square – Don Moen, Donnie McClurkin, Sinach, Onos, Frank Edwards, Angella Christie, Micah Stampley, Israel Houghton, Chioma Jesus, The Alabaster Box, Nathaniel Bassey, Freke Umoh and yours truly will be in attendance. I look forward to seeing you there but then with a crowd like that, I’m sure we will only connect in the Spirit 🙂

I’m loving the moment already and the excitement is high up to the heavens. I’m expectant and so should you. Well, there’ll be live streaming…hook up if you can and you won’t regret it.

1G1V

I’m wondering what answers a lot of you would have come up with if I threw a general question enquiring to know your interpretation of 1G1V. Don’t crack your head about it too much, you will soon know what I’m all about this evening.

Like a seed, a desire to offer a thousand burnt offering in gratitude to God for all He has done and continues to do (whether we are aware or not) grew in his heart. He thought of how best to carry out this plan and also if he will communicate the passion he feels to the magnitude that the people will understand the vision and run with it. Beyond the dream, the meetings and seeming fear about its success, the 1st Edition held and it was mind blowing.

You would think that God had taken us there, but that was just the beginning and like I mentioned earlier it was a seed and if you know anything about seeds, then you will agree with me that when its harvest time, what you sow ain’t what you get honey, YOU GET MORE! With this appetite unleashed for more, we welcome you to The Experience 2014 converging at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos.

This will be the 9th Edition. In Obstetrics, we are told a pregnant woman usually would give birth in the 9th month; so we are expectant in this years’ Experience as we connect our faith with our praise in anticipation and gratitude to God for what eyes have not seen nor ear heard. I don’t know about you, but I know that come 5th December 2014, people of every nation, tribe and tongue will gather, lifting holy hands and hearts in one accord regardless of societal status or political affiliation to One God in One Voice. By the way, that’s the meaning of 1G1V 🙂

So Lagos, Nigeria, the world…are you ready!?
