How do I resist the word, stay?
Turn back on a call to remain,
I weighed it, there seems to be gain
But will it suffice my day’s pay?
Surely, there’s more to life, today
Digging, I searched beyond the seen
Moved fast across places I’ve been!
It’s not just the word, but desire
That keeps me burning this fire!
…and fruits of obedience glean

Bird

It’s been a while I wrote so I stumbled on Ronovan‘ s Décima Poetry Challenge post today and decided to give it a try.

Some live free, others in a shed 
a cluster of feathers and beak
eyes and feet, some can even speak!
Worth two in a bush, I have heard
That depends on the kind of bird.
Will he flutter seeking a mate?
Or drag till he's a tad too late
Free, caged, wild, calm or perhaps tamed
It can become another's game.
Blame the game, not the player, hate.

Shape of the Heart

My friend Colleen invited me to join her Tanka Tuesday, this is my first attempt at it. all hearts are meants be in line with a steady beat to be termed healthy. But some hearts, probably all hearts, are shaped by every thing they have gone through or are going through. This is my thought on the two words.
