TE15: The Experience!

What is an Experience?

• a particular instance of personally encountering or undergoing something:
• the process or fact of personally observing, encountering, or undergoing something:

As you can see in the various meanings, a thread runs through all the meanings. Personal Observation, Encountering and Undergoing. TE15 is around the corner and the rave is on to be part of the music, dance, worship, commerce and networking. Beyond all these, what are you hoping to get at the Experience.

‘The’ signifies that it is specific. Yes it is a concert, but for me this years’ Experience is going to be worth every wait. I’m coming out of every limitation (physical, spiritual, mind etc.) I’m looking forward to a paradigm shift and taking it heads-on; no kid gloves in this matter. I call it deliverance. I don’t know how I came about that phrase, but it resonates so strongly within me and that’s what my expectation is hinged on.

As we gather on the 4th of December to Praise, Pray, Worship and War-ship (Warfare) what will you observe, encounter and believe to undergo. I have told you mine, let’s hear yours and if you don’t have one yet, you still have 10 days to get fired up in the expectation arena!

For there will be shouts of Joy, Songs of Deliverance, a Dance, Abundance, Restoration, Victory, Miracles, Signs and Wonders and definitely Salvation! The list is endless. It will also be a time to be ‘naked and unashamed’ before your Maker in true worship. Just you and Him. So what’s it gonna be at #TheExperience10 . Get your praise on!

Drawer: Ode & Apostrophe

Day 8: Had come and gone but I finally found the time to write about one of the drawers that holds something/some things special for me and others and that’s…

My Office Drawer:

Brown, perhaps burnt orange or a colour in that family
You stand lost in a room of similar colours and drawers
Nothing exceptional at first sight …especially, if sight alone is one’s interest.
Yet words cannot describe the joy I see as I watch her walk expectantly towards you
And without thought pulls you out and just typical, you turn down her touch,
Refusing to budge…”get the key!” you say under your breathe
It comes out as a command, to which I alone hear and smile
But she obeys and minutes later leaves smiling and promising to visit again.

“I wonder why she gets all the attention” others murmur
Humming a tune you alone are attuned, to you ignore.
How do you explain that your uniqueness is in your content?
The joy of it brings to every visitor.
I won’t be so quick to give you an award, for I have
Sadness seen on many a faces when their expectation meets no response
When hope is dashed at the sight of an empty drawer
And hunger pangs ring on another octave!

On days like this, I come to your defence
As a lawyer and a friend
“if you want to take something out, you have to put two
So you eat one and I leave the rest for you!”
The same story lines I hear most times, “I will refill”
Some give me thrills cos I know it’s real
Others I shrug off and plan on my next move to sort you
In all, you hold everything that makes the stomach full and the heart glad.

Are U Ready?!!!

Yes, It’s less than 20 hours and counting down to The Experience of a lifetime #1G1V and you have no reason to be absent from the whole gbedu (as a typical Yoruba person would say) but for me, it will be a mix of Gbedu, Unek, Ikwo, Ekom ye Itoro to Abasi mmi. Andikara Eyong ye Isong ye kpukpuru si dude ke esid.

Ooops I forgot myself there…but then I’m sure the Holy One would give you interpretation if you ask. Its happening live at the Tafawa Balewa Square – Don Moen, Donnie McClurkin, Sinach, Onos, Frank Edwards, Angella Christie, Micah Stampley, Israel Houghton, Chioma Jesus, The Alabaster Box, Nathaniel Bassey, Freke Umoh and yours truly will be in attendance. I look forward to seeing you there but then with a crowd like that, I’m sure we will only connect in the Spirit 🙂

I’m loving the moment already and the excitement is high up to the heavens. I’m expectant and so should you. Well, there’ll be live streaming…hook up if you can and you won’t regret it.
