Last week, Colleen put up a challenge tagged Beauty and like you know, she brings out the fresh lyrics in me.
Whether in the eye of the Beholder
Or vested in the thing itself, I see Beauty
Sometimes revealed and loud, undeniable
Hidden, calm and not proud, not definable
It’s in the morning unfolding between dusk and dawn
Radiating from the eyes, dancing to the lips in smiles
A giggle and it spreads its arms in affection, that’s Beauty!
It’s the stolen kiss between spouses in a crowd
Lost in a world with no walls, stares or frowns
Beauty in the dark, as in the Light
Glowing, refusing to be bound by limitations
Allowing the crack add spice to smoothness
I could go on and on, but no need to…
When you have seeing eyes and believing hearts…
There will always be Beauty!

Celebrating Sunshine!
Some weeks back, maybe a month, I was thankful for Sunshine and did an article on her.
Well, it was Sunshine’s birthday on the 24th and she’s 14! I’ve been there with her from birth and watch her grow delightfully. She’s been one of my inspirations for writing. Actually, my first journal was on her titled ‘Through Veda’s Eyes‘, by the time you get to read this journal, you will get to understand why I named her “Sunshine”.
She’s a breath of fresh air
With dark curly lovely hair
Her quest to know more is one each blessed child portrays
Understanding early commitment, she queried as we played
“Now you have worn another ring, what will Uncle Kelvin says?“
She helped, as we struggled to release my finger, Oh, the pain!
When we succeeded, “don’t do that again“ the reprimand came
From my little, sometimes mischievous but brilliant dame
She knows what she wants and how to get it from me
I would love to say no, but for this one, I’m stuck, no free!
Happy Birthday my baby
If you forget anything, always remember I yob you so much, so much!

#Writer’s Quote Wednesday on a Thursday
Like a Maya Angelou, I love a Max Lucado anyday. I will never forget the day I gifted one of my Max to someone for his birthday and he went “It’s a Max!” and I could swear I heard “You gave me a ferrari!” That was the kind of joy he showed. It was priceless! ❤
So when you read quotes like this, you can easily understand the excitement about a Max book. I read one many years back and I still marvel at how his mind works but then you can’t blame him, he’s got the mind of Christ.
For today, I just wanted you to be reminded of the little and timeless pleasures life sometimes offers us and just so you know, you’ve got Someone that truly cares for you to thank for that…God deserves the praise!
I know Colleen loves the magical, I just wanted her to look up too and enjoy every experience it offered her. I hope I succeeded!

Freedom Friday
FREEDOM FRIDAY
Dear God,
I had promised to do a Freedom Friday and You know what (of course You know already but I’ll still tell you all the same cos I’m in in fix) I don’t know what to talk about. Yet, I don’t want Alex, Yvonne, Viktoryarch, and Emma feeling disappointed with me. I need Your help and just so You know, I ❤ You!
Football & Love
It’s Freedom Friday, so I reserve the sole right to say what I have to say, how I chose to (secretly hoping you will like it).
Don’t kid yourself or rub your hands in glee expecting some grand documentary on Football, as I don’t know much about it except the spelling and now that’s so sad 😦 . But good news is I am a fan of anything that connects people together and keeps them United and I love RED too. Though I’m not a football analyst, I raise the Manchester United flag wherever; because by marriage, I am bound by love and association as its’ fan.

Through Veda’s eyes:
Living with my in-law has given me a totally different outlook to the way kids view their world, the innocence with which they say deep things and the ‘carelessness’ in which they are just themselves without trying to act up for anyone! …hence I choose to look at the world through Veda’s eyes (my niece) whom I also call “Sunshine”! Its an interesting read and she’s 12 now ❤
14-12-05
She heard her mum (my sis) was going out on an errand and so wouldn’t carry her along, she cried and threw her tantrums and when her nanny told her to stop and that no one would talk to Mama (her mum) when she got back…even me, Sunshine replied with unbelief, “she’ll talk to her, because she’s her sister!”
♦ ♦
I gave her sweets today (she’s got a crave for them), she simply turned it down saying Uncle Kenneth told her that sweets will make her lose her teeth…yet she was chewing gum or rather a different kind of sweet while refusing my sweets!
