Unless you are truly blind ( no insult to the visually impaired), by this I mean unless you are truly numb to any and everything happening around you – meaning you are dead – there is no way you will not find inspiration! It’s in the ‘silly’ conversation with a child or a joke, the inscription on a car or a billboard or in a serious conversation that involves intellectuals. It is always there.

Today I take my quote from the very BOOK, the Bible. Pardon me if you are not a fan, but I can’t help it. And it says…

Writer's Quote Wednesday_281015

And I’m thinking…that is pure undiluted truth, words of wisdom and inspiration hitting us right in the face. Man is likened to grass which will wither (sooner or later). You may be remembered, depending on the impact you made (positively or negatively) but to be remembered for a really long time…

WRITE IT DOWN and send it out!

Document what it is you want to share. Make it something that will not make you cringe if you were to wake up from the dead and read it or hear it. Shakespeare has been long gone. Dr. Myles Munroe has moved on, but the words they wrote, shared, are still being used daily – almost. Remember, “words create, send your words out with purpose.” That’s my creation to you today!

*Colleen is a bit busy this period but we wish her much grace as she moves and settles in. Check out what she’s been up to at #WQW

I know Colleen missed me! I’m almost tempted to say she missed me more than I missed her. LOL! Good news is I’m back! It’s #WQW today, and before I went AWOL, I had promised her to do a quote that was Colleen-inspired.

Writer's Quote Wednesday_211015Further to one of my earlier quotes, Colleen said this and it was mind-blowing…I can bet you she didn’t even realised she had said something worth repeating. I will rehash it in our ears, as most of us need to be reminded that life will always offer us opportunities to exhibit our gifts. It is one thing to prepare for the time of your showing forth, another to be able to handle limelight and yet another to co-ordinate the times you are ‘just-you-without-the-cheering-maddening-crowd!’

But like Colleen encourages us, when you find the balance attached to your gifts, only then do you truly ENJOY that gift and become a gift to others. This is my gift to you today <3.

Today in our Spirit-Life Conference themed “The Next Level”, I heard a quote from my Pastor, Paul Adefarasin. I decided to check it out. Wow! I got the whole deal and it is mind-blowing.

Writer's Quote Wednesday_230915 We always pray for the rain, when it’s hot. We pray for the rain when we feel there’s draught. We pray for the rain when we need the seeds we have sown to grow. But we do not prepare for the mud that comes with it. I always say that “it is okay to pray for Success but its price is far too great.” Most of us aren’t ready for the price that comes with it.

So writer, you pray for inspiration, are you ready to run with the dream regardless of the mud? Are you ready to paint the skies and make something beautiful out of the dark that surrounds you? Denzel says, he’d be more frightened by not using whatever abilities he has been given and by procrastination. You have been given several abilities and talents, use it! Maximise everything within your sphere, don’t let that moment slip by. Let it scare you that some lives are going untouched, whilst you remain in a state of indecision.

Let’s go to WQW and see what other writers did to get inspired. By the way, Colleen is waiting 🙂

Okay, WQW is here again today and Colleen put me in a slightly tight corner by requesting that we celebrate the Blood Moon. I tried reading up on it, but wasn’t sure. All I know is it has to do with an eclipse. I will try to look out for it by Sept 27- 28th.

So for today’s quote I checked up the Bible and saw a beautiful quote which formed part of the prayers that Moses said on the tribe of Israel. I discussed with Pst C on noticing that prayers were said to the children of Israel twice by their Father Jacob (Israel) and also by Moses. She made me understand there were Patriarchal and Prophetic blessings. Jacob blessed them as his sons, but Moses blessed them as tribes. In most cases, the latter over-rules the former and to me that was cool, as in this case, Reuben (for instance) was cursed under the Patriarchal blessing.

Writer's Quote Wednesday_160915Well, I won’t go preaching on you today but urge you to know that whether you are under the Sun or the Moon, each has PRECIOUS things to offer. Tap into your imagination and let the heat inspire you or the shadows the Moon draws up motivate you to write better…and come up with something precious!

If you still need more inspiration, then off to Colleen’s you go!

Writer's Quote Wednesday_090915 Dreams come from a multitude of thoughts, what were your thoughts during your waking moments? Dreams come when you are sleeping or in a state of ‘inactivity’. Now I’m not talking about passive inactivity, but a vibrant active one that allows you put your inputs in what you dream up.

Knowing this, you can easily agree with Pastor John Paul Warren that a TRUE dreamer is one who knows how to navigate in the dark. A True Dreamer does not need light because the light shining on his path and leading him in the right direction is coming from within. It is aligning with the purpose in him and saying, “put your foot here not there, turn left not right, go back not sideward” it is constantly directing his every step. If perhaps he makes a wrong move, a True Dreamer will not feel that move resonate within him nor will he get that satisfying feeling.

So who are you? OR who do you want to be? Let go of the lights, close your eyes and open them up in your dream world. Walk through the lengths, the flowers, the storms, the breeze, the frights and do your mix coming up with a special brew that’s just YOU! Sweet dreams darling <3, remember it’s WQW with Colleen!

I’m off for a short while, but decided to schedule some post so Colleen doesn’t go combing the map looking for me! LOL. Hello Colleen ❤ 🙂

Writer's Quote Wednesday_020918 Let’s not kid ourselves, daily what we read and/or write is something that is almost similar to another’s or we have been exposed to it one way or the other. Life is like that! Knowing this, you don’t pass through life just like that, you make a mark, an impact, add your touch…something that is uniquely you. We all can testify that everyone is different and as such there’s always more to you, and you and you than meets the eye.

When are you going to quit wishing and just BE YOURSELF and DO what needs (begs) to be done?! Sometimes, I get exasperated at people with all their complains, when they have so much to offer and are busy trying to be like Mr. A. For your information, Mr.A is already himself and a second one won’t be the original, who will be YOU after you have successfully copied everything about him/her?

Just wondering aloud …you should too and whilst you are at it, do something about it!

And that’s my thoughts/quote for today’s WQW.

It’s another week for motivation for writers and those who read and the silent ones who are writers at heart. All you need is a dose of motivation, stop over @Colleen’s WQW and get fired up.

Writer's Quote Wednesday_260815 We readily want to share our world with our readers, but what kind of world would you offer your reader if you haven’t experienced it yet? Like Colleen is forever talking about seeing magic in daily life, she says it so often that one begins to look a lot deeper and see beyond the natural.

Today, I charge you to have an experiential knowledge of any and every thing you desire to share, before sharing – that way, your writing is convincing and inviting enough to make me hurry before you (the writer) to the next page.

Dear reader, I hope we get to meet and satisfy your need…it’s sometimes really hard you know but hey, that’s why we rub minds at the WQW…enjoy!

#Writer’sQuoteWednesday on a Thursday

Standard

Its WQW on a Thursday (as usual for me 🙂 ) I chose this quote for one reason viewed in many parts.

Thankful Thursday_190815For one, it tells you that what really matters in the end is the LIFE in your years and it hit me that the years spent on this side of eternity is made up of several lives per person …. And what do I mean by that. Take me for instance, I have a life as a mother, a daughter, a sister, a girlfriend, a writer, a believer etc. Have I truly lived these several aspects of my life or I just got tired of one and let it become obsolete.

Today, I will encourage you to live each life to the brim, you hear me, to the brim. So that when your years are complete, you will have no regrets and neither will the people around you or the world at large, so creation can testify that Frances made a mark! By the way, am still here and doing it…slowly maybe, but surely!

How about you?

Writer’s Quote Wednesday on a Thursday

Writer's Quote Wednesday_120815 Today’s quote for WQW is based on Time and its ability to function as Light. I have thought about these quotes and the more I think about them the deeper meanings I come to understand.

Take for instance, if you plant a corn seed and claim it was a bean seed, give it time, the truth will unveil. As a writer, take time to cook up what you want your audience to eat. Make sure that it is well prepared, after several thoughts and edits – send it out. The purpose of that article will be revealed with time in the life it affects.

What’s your understanding of these quotes?

Writer’s Quote Wednesday on a Thursday

Standard

During one of our WP classes (a writing course I think), we were made to ‘kill our darlings’. What does that mean to a writer?

You have done your best, written your heart out with plenty of adverbs and big words with no meanings (sometimes), to get a book that keeps your audience coming for more and more of your world, sometimes you need to kill your darlings.

EDIT!

Hence my quote for today….Writer's Quote Wednesday_050815

Even in real life situations, when you are on the other end of a rebuke or criticism, it’s no fun but like I said, to bring out the best in you, in your article, your photograph you need to bring it under the pruning knife and cut away. Clip…clip…clip.

Like Paul would say, “Forgetting the things that are behind, I press on…”

It’s WQW, Colleen and a few other writers are ready on hand to motivate you to be inspired and be a better writer, meet new friends and have fun whilst doing it. By the way she is silver-haired and so much fun to be with!
