#FreedomFriday: TE15 – Expectations

EXPECTATION: The act or state of looking forward in anticipation.

If you do a random sampling, you will likely find out that over the years, people just go to The Experience because there will be a plethora of unique gospel artistes at the same time on one stage and it’s a FOC (free of charge) concert.

Well…
Have we started charging gate fee at The Experience? No!
Has the quality of Gospel Ministers reduced? No way!
Have the hours assigned to Praise, Pray and Worship been slashed? No!
Has the Presence of God become commonplace and of no effect? No!

But…

As the countdown goes on, my charge to you today is to be EXPECTANT! Do not show up as in times past, having no desire except to dance, be happy, sing and go!

Have you not heard of the miracles tied to The Experience? Of salvation, healing, restoration, finding life’s path and partners, blessing of the fruit of the womb? What is it that you desire? Remember WHOSE presence it is that we will stand before and ask yourself, “If I was given an audience with the President, to make any request and it will be granted, what will it be?”

Fortunately, the One before Whom you will stand (come 4th/5th December 2015), is MORE than all the Presidents of the world put together. His WORD created the Heavens and the Earth, that Word is still very powerful today.  What will your EXPECTATION be? Even the man at the gate called Beautiful looked up with expectation to receive something from Peter and John and he got MORE! Acts 3:1-5;  plan to receive from God too.

In His Presence is fullness of JOY, if by the end of this years’ Experience you do not get Fullness of Joy, then you have yourself to blame. Get your Expectation in place and let’s meet at TBS. I’ll look out for you…physically or spiritually…while you are at it, don’t forget your dancing shoes!

We all need someone…what a joy to have non-toxic people around you, those that know how to make you cry and smile at the same time.

#Writer’s Quote Wednesday on a Thursday

Colleen is back and I’m glad. I missed her but not so much because you could feel her touch oozing through Ronovan’s pore with his own dexterity. Great team I must say!

Well I read her #WQW for this week and I smiled because it was simple and straight to the point and I totally loved it. A great quote, I felt like I wrote it as Yescheilyah Ysrayl told the truth about the intricacies of writing.

Writer's Quote Wednesday_251115

I thought of using someone’s quote yesterday but decided to write mine and here’s my thought on this one. Rather than act without giving thoughts to what you want to do, my call is to thoroughly think it through (back and forth if you must, run it by some trusted brains – this doesn’t mean you have to accept their suggestions though) and then take a stand. If we do this often, we won’t open our mouths in foolishness, let our anger escape seamlessly and remain imprinted in someone’s memory making our remembrance in their heart a pain. All I’m saying dear writer…put yourself in their shoes, walk around a bit, come back return it to them and walk in yours, then let it all out (filtered sometimes and I’m smiling cos I need to do this too).

I wonder what Colleen has to say about this today?

TE15: The Experience!

What is an Experience?

  • a particular instance of personally encountering or undergoing something:
  • the process or fact of personally observing, encountering, or undergoing something:
  • the observing, encountering, or undergoing of things generally as they occur in the course of time:
  • the observing, encountering, or undergoing of things generally as they occur in the course of time:

As you can see in the various meanings, a thread runs through all the meanings. Personal Observation, Encountering and Undergoing. TE15 is around the corner and the rave is on to be part of the music, dance, worship, commerce and networking. Beyond all these, what are you hoping to get at the Experience.

‘The’ signifies that it is specific. Yes it is a concert, but for me this years’ Experience is going to be worth every wait. I’m coming out of every limitation (physical, spiritual, mind etc.) I’m looking forward to a paradigm shift and taking it heads-on; no kid gloves in this matter. I call it deliverance. I don’t know how I came about that phrase, but it resonates so strongly within me and that’s what my expectation is hinged on.

As we gather on the 4th of December to Praise, Pray, Worship and War-ship (Warfare) what will you observe, encounter and believe to undergo. I have told you mine, let’s hear yours and if you don’t have one yet, you still have 10 days to get fired up in the expectation arena!

For there will be shouts of Joy, Songs of Deliverance, a Dance, Abundance, Restoration, Victory, Miracles, Signs and Wonders and definitely Salvation! The list is endless. It will also be a time to be ‘naked and unashamed’ before your Maker in true worship. Just you and Him. So what’s it gonna be at #TheExperience10 . Get your praise on!

FREEDOM FRIDAY: TE15 – COMPLETION

It started as an answer to a call to offer up sacrifices of Praise, Prayer and Worship/Word in an atmosphere of divine presence. To make the needed sacrifice of Praise and Worship, we had to dismantle altars; those set by our minds, our limitations, the society, negative spiritual altars etc. and raise one that is found on pure adulation to the One True God – Yahweh!

It’s been 9 years plus and what began as a gathering of a handful of people, with less than a 100,000 worshippers has continued to blossom to the glory of God. It’s the 10th year now and every year we enter into a new dimension at The Experience Lagos. Come 4th December 2015, we will be gathered again at the historical Tafawa Balewa Square raising hands, joining discord in harmony to bring worship to the One who holds all things in the palms of His hands – God, our GOD!

It is only in His presence the walls of denomination are broken down and trampled upon unashamed, the same place we experience FULLNESS of JOY which gives us strength to draw from the wells of salvation, decree and change matters. It is here, lives are transformed, renewed, restored and hope is made alive. I am grateful to have been part of the Experience since inception and I can tell you, it is more than magical; you are in another world, lost in Praise, Prayer, Worship and not caring if your wig has flown off or wonder why the tears refuse to stop!

It is the 10th edition and 10 represents Completion. I believe that this years’ Experience will be completely out of this world and I’m so looking forward to it. Yes, I need completion in some areas of my life and the many lives around me. But personally, I have tagged this Experience DELIVERANCE and like my Pastor loves saying “it will end in a DANCE (for me and mine)”. I don’t know what you desire, but keep it in perspective and God will exceed your expectation. While you are considering it, let’s hook up at The Experience 2015. See you there.

#Writer’s Quote Wednesday on a Thursday

Writer's Quote Wednesday_191115 I’m thinking aloud, so loud that you can hear my thoughts and I’m asking you…are your feet BEAUTIFUL?

Certainly!

The finest ever!

Dainty…pristine like that of a princess.

And I ask the next question, do preach PEACE?! Can someone, anyone point at you and say that’s a PEACEMAKER. In a world going bonkers with everyone wanting to be heard whether what they say is okay for all (to a great extent) or a select few. Do you seek peace?

And I’m also wondering how many beautiful-footed writers we have; those who delight in peace? Well, I was hoping not to say much today, but to get you to think whilst you do what you do best.

As you have a re-think and probably refocus how you preach what you preach, Colleen and friends have something they want to share with you and it’s all at the #WQW
